7-Eleven panics, launches buyout in wake of wage abuse scandal
"Panicking" 7-Eleven Australia has launched a wide-scale independent review of wage abuse in its outlets and will cash out store owners as it scrambles to deal with explosive revelations that its stores are using sweatshop labour.
The review and store buyout comes as 7-Eleven insider revealed the company has been reeling over the past month leading up to revelations by a joint Fairfax Media and Four Corners investigation of a massive cover-up by head office of worker exploitation.
