The NBN is needed in Australia to put an end to a broadband market that lacks competition and competitive prices, according to NBN chief executive Bill Morrow.

In an exclusive interview for this month's BOSS magazine, Morrow gave a blunt assessment of why the government-owned monopoly wholesale broadband network was essential.
