OZ Minerals pushes forward with plans for $US1b Carrapateena mine

Copper and gold miner OZ Minerals is pressing ahead with plans for its $980 million Carrapateena mine, moving earlier than expected to bring in early-stage contractors, hiring key staff and shoring up power supplies for the project.

OZ said on Friday that it had moved faster than expected to what it calls its early contractor involvement (ECI) model.
