Australia's richest person Gina Rinehart came tantalisingly close to achieving a 20-year dream on Friday. But it wasn't to be.

Problems loading iron ore from the first mine her family owns and operates caused an embarrassing delay. The initial shipment of ore from the $10 billion Roy Hill project has been pushed back a week after suffering "progressive commissioning" and "operational safety constraints".
