Nine Entertainment is expected to formally ramp up negotiations with John Singleton and other minority shareholders in Macquarie Media to take full control of the radio network, after the completion of the broadcaster's merger with Fairfax Media is finally consummated next Monday.
On Wednesday, Nine said it had held preliminary discussions regarding Macquarie Media, of which it will own 54.5 per cent from Monday thanks to its $4 billion merger with Fairfax, publisher of The Australian Financial Review.
