Robots are coming to courts – but they won't replace judges: BCG
Courts must embrace the coming "second wave" of digitisation, allowing artificial intelligence to take over much of the churn work that burdens judges and clogs courtrooms, Boston Consulting Group senior partner Larry Kamener has told Australia's judicial brass.
The "monopoly over the administration of justice in most areas" may protect them from responding quickly, but Mr Kamener used the long-protected letter delivery monopoly held by Australia Post as a warning sign: letter deliveries have halved since the peak of 5.6 billion just eight years' ago.
