Law Council takes aim at appointments 'pressure'

Australia's peak legal body has intensified its attack on the current appointments process for federal courts and tribunals, saying it invites politicians to put undue pressure on attorneys-general.
Law Council of Australia president Arthur Moses, SC, also says arguments that there are not enough suitable women to fill judicial roles are "not based on fact".
