Infrastructure Summit 2016: Westconnex under fire for poor process
The Baird government's $16 billion Westconnex road project to connect Western Sydney with the city's inner west came under fire both in and outside The Australian Financial Review's National Infrastructure Summit as an example of poor planning processes.
The project has been promised a $1.5 billion federal grant and construction is under way but opposition infrastructure spokesman Anthony Albanese said the NSW government couldn't even say where the exits would emerge and how many houses would be resumed to make way.
