Blackmores benefits from daigou shift

Blackmores' vitamins sales in the Australian retail market have been re-invigorated by a boost to advertising and marketing spending and a push by retailers to capture a bigger slice of the demand from China through its local entrepreneurs, known as daigou traders.

The country's biggest vitamins company lifted revenues by 15 per cent to $154 million in the three months ended September 30, while net profit after tax increased by 7 per cent to $16.5 million.
