ASIC investigates Sirtex Medical, former CEO Gilman Wong

The corporate regulator is investigating events at Sirtex Medical during the second half of the 2016 calendar year, including a share sale by former chief executive Gilman Wong, and will examine whether the biotech breached its continuous disclosure obligations.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has asked several healthcare analysts to provide it with research from June 2016 to December 2016, as it tries to ascertain what information was in the public domain and what was not in the months leading up to the firing of Mr Wong in mid-January.
