Smaller is better for the dealmakers behind Australia's newest private equity firm, Colinton Capital Partners.

Simon Moore, one of the country's best-known private equity executives from his time signing $1 billion-plus deals for The Carlyle Group, has teamed up with former Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group managing director Genevieve Gregor, Deloitte restructuring unit leader Martyn Strickland and former Citi investment banker Jason Phillips to search for high-growth Australian gems.
