Big four bank profits to top $30 billion

The big four are expected to chalk up combined earnings of about $30 billion this financial year as headline profits benefit from very few loans going sour.

Bank profit margins and any signs of worsening bad debts will be in the spotlight this week as two of the country's largest banks deliver their full-year results only days after raising interest rates.
