Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, QBE and UniSuper are among a host of companies angry at a government plan to sting business with an annual $260 million bill to fund the corporate regulator.

Assistant Treasurer Kelly O'Dwyer is shortly expected to make a final decision on the controversial "user pays" system in response to the David Murray financial system inquiry.
