When it comes to enduring client-banker relationships in the Australian market, not too many have been as high-profile as that of Crown billionaire James Packer and UBS chief Matthew Grounds.

UBS has been Packer's house adviser since advising on Publishing and Broadcasting Limited's 2004 acquisition of Perth's Burswood casino, led by Grounds and his then boss Chris Mackay.
