As if Wesfarmers CEO, Woodside Energy chairman-in-waiting and newly-appointed Qantas board member Richard "Eddie Everywhere" Goyder doesn't have enough on his plate. He now has to run a tightrope every time he takes to the skies.

As well as adding the Qantas directorship to his already full dance card on Thursday, Goyder officially took over from AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick on Tuesday. That's the same AFL whose major sponsor and preferred airline is Virgin Australia.
