Foxtel chief executive Richard Freudenstein is leaving the pay TV operator, half-owned by News Corp and Telstra, to be replaced by News Corp Australia chief executive Peter Tonagh.

News Corp's New York-based global chief executive, Robert Thomson, has been spotted walking the floors of the company's Holt Street bunker in Sydney this week.
