CPA members still waiting for board to reveal its pay
Joe AstonColumnistIt's now been more than four weeks since the individual remuneration of CPA Australia's directors for the last reporting period (2016) was requisitioned by members under Section 202B of the Corporations Act.
CPA's company secretary Adam Awty advised on May 4 that the organisation's auditors, Deloitte, would sign off the remuneration report and it would then be sent to all CPA members entitled to receive a notice of Annual General Meeting, as the act stipulates. You wouldn't think the pay of 12 non-executives would take a month to collate and audit, but devising a credible justification for how much moolah that dozen is trousering – which we're sure will also be in the envelope – would indeed require a great deal of careful thought!
