Corporate raider Gary Weiss and his supporters have raised concerns about the chief executive transition at Ardent Leisure as their campaign to obtain board seats at the Dreamworld owner gathers momentum.

Weiss's investment vehicle Ariadne has written to Ardent chair George Venardos seeking answers about the search process, qualifications and remuneration package for the company's new chief executive Simon Kelly. Ardent announced in April that Kelly would succeed Deborah Thomas as chief executive in July.
