Brae restaurant in Birregurra has won the coveted number one spot at the Financial Review's Australia's Top Restaurants awards evening Monday night, with Brae co-owner and chef Dan Hunter also crowned Australia's Top Chef.

The full list of Australia's Top 100 Restaurants was also announced at the gala event at The Star, Sydney. The list, the result of the only peer-voted awards where Australia's chefs and restaurateurs choose their favourites, are an insider's look at the state of our food scene.
