A woman, who had been fighting with another woman on the CBD on Tuesday night, was hit by a passing car after running across North Terrace.

Family members of the injured woman then approached the car and allegedly bashed the driver and passenger, while also damaging the car.

The bizarre incident happened just after 9pm, when witnesses saw the two women fighting on Kintore Avenue.

Police say the fight spilled out on to North Terrace, where one of the women, aged 25, ran across the east bound lane and was hit by a car.

Two men aged 33 and 27, both from Hope Valley, were arrested and charged with property damage and assault after allegedly attacking the occupants of the car.

Both men were granted bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in April.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle, both 24, were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the woman who was hit by the car was also taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
