A woman has died after she rolled her Holden station wagon on the Stuart Highway, just north of Marla, on Tuesday morning.

A woman has died after rolling her car on the Stuart Highway in the state’s Far North.

The woman, 35, rolled her Holden station wagon about 19km north of Marla about 7.15am on Tuesday.

She died at the scene, while her 57-year-old male passenger suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Major Crash officers flew from Adelaide to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

The woman’s death is the 69th life lost on SA roads, compared with 84 at the same time last year.

The crash comes less than 24 hours after a 19-year-old motorcyclist died in a motorbike crash at Petwood.
