SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10
TEENS ARRESTED OVER CAR BREAK-IN
Three teens have been arrested for allegedly breaking into a car at Nailsworth.
The owner of a Toyota SUV called police to Asquith St about 3.50am on Saturday after their passenger side window was smashed and people were seen running off.
A small amount of money was stolen from the car.
Patrols searched the area and located three people hiding near Main North Rd.
They fled but police dog Zac was able to track them to Thomas St where they were hiding in front of a block of units. All three were arrested.
An 18-year-old Seaton man was charged with property damage, illegal interference and theft, while two 15-year-olds from Prospect and Blakeview were charged with property damage.
The trio was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
DRIVER CHARGED OVER TWO-CAR CRASH
A man has been charged over a two-car smash at Ferryden Park.
The crash happened at the intersection of Coker St and Days Rd about 10.15pm on Friday.
One driver – a 26-year-old Angle Park man – was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The other driver – a 47-year-old Davoren Park man – was not injured in the incident and was charged with driving without due care and failing to submit to a breath test.
He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court in December.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9
LEARNER DRIVER SERIOUSLY INJURED IN WOODCROFT CRASH
A learner driver has sustained serious injuries in a crash at Woodcroft.
A Ford Falcon rolled and land on its roof on Pine Road just after 12.30am on Friday.
The 18-year-old learner driver was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour before emergency services freed him.
He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Three male passengers – a 16-year-old and two 15-year olds – were taken to Flinders Medical Centre with minor injuries.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8
YOUTHS ARRESTED AFTER CRIME SPREE ACROSS ADELAIDE
Two boys, including a 13-year-old, have been arrested after breaking into a home at Unley, stealing a car and setting it alight at Smithfield.
An Unley resident woke around 2.30am Thursday hearing noises inside their Miller St, Unley, home. They also heard their car being started and driven out of their driveway.
The keys to their silver Mazda wagon had been stolen in the break-in, and the vehicle seen driving towards King William Rd.
Three to fourth youths in the stolen Mazda were reported stealing $3000 worth of power tools from another car at Wellington Sq, North Adelaide around 3.15am.
The stolen car was later set alight at Wahroonga Drive near the Munno Para shops about 5am. Police saw two teenage boys near the scene, who ran away when they spied the officers. Police chased the teens through a park and arrested them.
A 13-year-old Elizabeth Grove boy and a 16-year-old Davoren Park boy are being questioned over the car fire and break-in.
CCTV from the area shows up to four youths involved in setting the stolen car alight and investigations continue in finding the two remaining suspects.
The stolen car was destroyed in the arson.

MAN FOUR TIMES OVER ARRESTED AFTER FAILING TO STOP
A man who blew nearly four times over the legal blood alcohol limit has been arrested for failing to stop for police at Roxby Downs overnight.
Police conducting static driver testing on Olympic Way tried to stop a driver around 9pm on Wednesday. He refused to stop and continued south.
The vehicle was followed, and police stopped him a short time later,
The driver, a 42-year-old Port Noarlunga man was breath tested and blew 0.198, nearly four times over the legal blood alcohol limit of 0.05.
He was arrested and charged with failing to stop, driving under the influence, and drink driving.
He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
He was bailed to appear in the Roxby Downs Magistrates Court at a later date.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7
SUSPECT ON THE RUN AFTER TORCHING CAR
Police are seeking information from the public after a car that was stolen from Unley was torched at Prospect overnight.
Fire crews controlled the Toyota SUV, which was on fire on Cochrane Terrace around 2am Wednesday.
The car was destroyed in the blaze.
Police contacted the owner of the Toyota, who was unaware the car had been stolen around 4pm Tuesday from outside their home address in Queen St at Unley.

DELAYS ON GRANGE RD
Police are warning city-bound motorists of delays on their morning commute after a truck hit a pole on Grange Rd.
Grange Rd at Welland was closed to all traffic, but westbound traffic has now been opened to two lanes. East, and city-bound traffic remains restricted to one lane.
A truck hit a Stobie pole, bringing down power lines before 6am today causing the closures.
There are no current power outages reported in Grange.
POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS OF PURSUIT IN STOLEN CAR
Police are investigating the occupants involved in a pursuit in a stolen car at Eden Hills overnight.
Officers saw a white Ford Courier ute – directing the driver to pull over on Ayliffes Road at Eden Hills around 4.30am Wednesday. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen, refused to stop leading police on a pursuit through the backstreets of St Marys, onto Daws Road then city-bound on Goodwood Road.
It continued west on Cross Road, onto Anzac Highway, before patrols lost sight of the ute at Kurralta Park.
It was found abandoned in Washington Street, Hilton a short time later.
Police searched the area for the three occupants, but did not locate them.
A green Hyundai was also seen driving erratically in the area and refusing to stop for police, which they believe is linked to the stolen ute.
The ute was reported stolen from North Adelaide on Tuesday.
It was seized for forensic examination.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6
MAN ARRESTED AFTER VAN RAMMED INTO HOUSE
A man has been arrested for allegedly ramming a van into a house with his car at O’Sullivan Beach overnight.
An officer noticed a Jeep Cherokee 4WD driving erratically on Borraga Street at O’Sullivan Beach around 10pm Monday. They tried to stop the driver who refused, and was involved in a short pursuit before the Jeep stopped on Selway Terrace.
The Jeep had been involved in an earlier report where the driver had allegedly rammed a van with his car twice that was parked on the front lawn of a house on Selway Terrace, before driving off. The van was pushed into the house causing damage to the wall.
He was breath tested, and allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.177, more than three times over the legal blood alcohol limit of 0.05.
The driver of the Jeep, a 37-year-old local man, was charged with dangerous driving to cause a pursuit, drink driving, property damage, and breach of bail.
He was refused police bail to appear at the Christies Beach Magistrates Court later today.
The Jeep was impounded for 28 days, and the driver was issued a 12-month loss of licence.
The house is estimated to cost $20,000 to repair, and the van $2000.
SERVO ROBBED AT KNIFE POINT
A man is on the run after he robbed a service station at knifepoint at Whyalla overnight.
The suspect entered a service station on Playford Avenue at Whyalla Playford around midnight Tuesday. With his face covered with a T-shirt he asked for cigarettes, before bringing out a knife.
He stole a small quantity of cigarettes and was last seen leaving on foot towards Elliott St.
The suspect is described as being of caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, around 20 years old, with a slim to medium build. wearing a white hoodie, black cargo pants and black shoes.
Police searched the area but were unable to find him.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 5
MAN ARRESTED AFTER POLICE CHASE
A man has been arrested following a police chase in the northern suburbs.
Police spotted a stolen Holden sedan with stolen numbers plates, and two occupants inside, on Winzor St, Salisbury just after 2am on Saturday.
Patrols followed the vehicle a short distance before the driver sped off along McCormack Crescent. Police briefly chased the car before terminating the pursuit.
Police then found the same stolen Holden abandoned in Wildwood St, Paralowie just after 4am on Monday.
“Police were alerted to sounds of someone running on the roof of nearby units, jumping fences and smashing glass,” a police spokeswoman said.

“Cordons were set up and a short time later, a man was spotted running out of a unit.
“He was apprehended after a short foot chase and identified as the same driver from the two nights ago.”
Police said investigations found a window to a unit had been smashed and another unit had been broken into.
A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment of a hand injury.
He is expected to be charged later today with trespass, property damage, engaging in a police pursuit and illegal use of a motor vehicle.
The Holden was stolen from Parafield Gardens and the number plates were taken from Paralowie, in September.
COWARD PUNCH ARREST
A man will face court after allegedly coward punching another man at Glenelg in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 23-year-old Happy Valley man was knocked unconscious during an assault in Moseley Square at about 2am.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before he was taken to Flinders Medical Centre with non life-threatening injuries.
Police searched the area and located the suspect – a 37-year-old Morphett Vale man – on Sussex St.
He was charged with assault causing harm.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4
CAR FLIPS IN CRASH ON UNLEY RD
Occupants have escaped serious injury after two cars crashed on Unley Rd this morning, causing one car to flip on its roof.
The incident occurred just after 11am Sunday, just south of Greenhill Rd.
A Subaru and Toyota collided, causing the Subaru to flip onto the island in the middle of the road. The driver of the Subaru, a 77-year-old Westbourne Park woman, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the Toyota, a 31-year-old Adelaide woman, and her passenger, a 29-year-old Adelaide man, were treated at the scene.
No serious injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
The were initially delays on Unley Rd in both directions but the road has since reopened.

P-PLATER FINED AFTER HIT AND RUN CRASH
A P-plate driver has been fined after crashing into a shed and driving off at Warradale overnight.
A car was reported to have crashed into a shed on Bowker Street around 3.30am Sunday. Police at the scene found a roller door of the shed had minor damage, and found a driver parked nearby – waiting for police.
The 18-year-old from Gawler East was issued a $442 fine for breaching his provisional licence conditions for driving during curfew hours. He received three demerit points.
MAN INJURED IN MITCHAM CRASH
A man was taken to hospital after a crash at Mitcham.
A Ford sedan was reported to have crashed into a pole at the intersection of Old Belair Road and Norman Walk around 7pm Saturday.
The driver, a 21-year-old Belair man, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police took a sample of blood for an alcohol analysis, and will make further inquiries about the driver.
