When Khe Sanh Cox removed her home detention bracelet earlier this month, she wanted to stay under the radar and perhaps catch the last plane out of Sydney.
But, after SA Police put out an alert on Sunday afternoon, basically all of Adelaide jumped on the case to offer Cold Chisel-themed suggestions on her whereabouts.
“Have you checked the airport?” James Clarke offered on Facebook.
“The last plane out of Sydney’s almost gone, seven hours and you’ve landed in Hong Kong.”
Mark Enright, meanwhile, swore he saw Khe Sanh in his backyard.
“She was standing on the outside looking in,” he said.
Another said “she’s hiding in the last set of every cover band in Adelaide”.
Police are searching for wanted woman Khe Sanh Cox.

Labor MP Tom Koutsantonis told his Facebook followers that “car parks make her jumpy”.
SA Police later issued another alert on Sunday evening, saying: “She is no Choir Girl – we’ve already searched Bow River and the Star Hotel”.
Khe Sanh, 28, of Surrey Downs, remains on the run after cutting off her home detention bracelet earlier this month.
She is wanted over a number of serious offences, such as breaking into homes and stealing cars.
Senior Constable Mick Abbott said police received more than 18,000 comments on social media after posting an alert on Sunday afternoon.
“Her name has obviously prompted a lot of comments,” he told ABC Radio Adelaide.
“Check the Bow River, have we checked the last plane out of Sydney? All that sort of thing.”
Senior Constable Abbott said the response was “quite good”.
“We haven’t actually located her yet, but it has been shared a number of times so I imagine she is well known now.”
