A MAN has been charged with murder following the stabbing of a woman in Adelaide’s inner northeast last week.

A MAN has been charged with murder following the stabbing of a woman in Adelaide’s inner northeast last week.
Emergency services were called to a group of units at James St, Gilberton, after a disturbance between several people about midnight on April 18.
Police found a woman unconscious in the bathroom, bleeding heavily from a serious stab wound to the upper left leg.
Paramedics treated the 38-year-old woman at the scene, before she was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Sadly, the woman died in hospital about two days later.
A 38-year-old man at the scene was also treated for head injuries, after he was also allegedly punched several times by the same suspect.
A 41-year-old man, of no fixed address, who was found at the scene and was known to the injured woman and man, was arrested.
Following the woman’s death, his charges have now been upgraded to murder and aggravated cause harm.
He is due to face court again on Thursday.
