A PEDESTRIAN has been hit by a van in Adelaide’s north and four people have been taken to hospital in a separate crash in the southern suburbs.

Salisbury

A PEDESTRIAN has been injured after being hit by a van at Salisbury overnight.

The man, aged in his 50s, was struck by a van while crossing Commercial Rd about 11.45pm on Saturday night.

He was believed to have sustained a broken arm and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the van, a 42-year-old man Salisbury man, was not injured in the incident and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.

Seacombe Heights

FOUR people have been taken to hospital after a car slammed into a Stobie pole at Seacombe Heights this morning.

The crash, involving a Nissan Skyline, happened at the intersection of Seacombe and Morphett roads about 4.20am.

Four people in the car – three men and a woman – were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The smash brought down power lines and left some residents in the area without power.

SA Power Network restored power later in the morning.
