TIMBER BUSINESS ATTACKED

An arsonist has caused $200,000 damage to a Camden Park business – but a Holden ute captured on CCTV moments before the attack has revealed the suspect’s driving blunder.

Meat worker Aaron Parrott said he took notice of the dark-coloured car because it drove in the wrong direction along a one-way lane off Mooringe Ave, about 3.30am on Thursday.

And by doing so, a clear picture of the car – with distinctive metal framework on the cab and tray – was caught on camera.

“(I) didn’t think much of it, then a couple of minutes later heard a big bang, revving, alarms going off and came out and saw a car take off,” Mr Parrott said.

A fire was ignited inside Allflow Timber Finishes and quickly spread to other materials.

“(There was an) orange glow coming out from underneath the door and smoke billowing out the top of it,” Mr Parrott said

“(It’s) a pretty low act.”
