A man wanted for a high speed hit-run crash at Daw Park has taken to social media, claiming he is fleeing Adelaide.

Jakob Johnson, 22, is wanted over a hit-run crash on Goodwood Road last week, with 7 News reporting he posted social media footage having a drink with a young female on Sunday afternoon.

He also posted imagery of a car, with the caption “Goodbye Adelaide” – indicating he was leaving the city.

The footage has been handed to police for further investigation.

Johnson has been on the run since Tuesday, February 23, after allegedly crashing into a white Toyota at speed before running off at Daw Park.

Witnesses saw Johnson driving up to 150km/h on Goodwood Road about 6.15am the day of the crash, before the Holden he was driving crashed into the Corolla at the intersection near Dudley Street.

His passenger, a 30-year-old Adelaide woman, suffered minor injuries, while the passenger of the Corolla, a 40-year-old Daw Park man, also suffered minor injuries.

It comes as police hunt another driver after a two-car crash at Underdale on Monday night, adding to the tally of drivers at large.

Footage captured a Ford travelling in the middle lane on Henley Beach Road at about 7pm Monday swerve into the left lane before hitting a white Renault sedan, causing it to crash into a tree.

The driver of the Ford got out of his car and walked away, while the driver of the Renault, a 51-year-old Brooklyn Park man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police searched the area for the driver of the Ford but were unable to find them.

Police released an image of the wanted man on Monday, and say Johnson fled the scene, and may be travelling in a stolen 2016 grey Isuzu DMax with registration plate WNZ-291.

In a third event, a car crashed on North East Road about 3.45am Monday, at Klemzig.

Paramedics rushed to the aid of the passenger, who suffered serious injuries – but the driver fled the scene.

The woman was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

Police searched the area but could not locate the driver who is described as a caucasian male, aged between 30-40 years old, with tattoos on one arm. He was wearing a dark T-shirt and was last seen on OG Road.

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said he does not believe drivers fleeing crash scenes is a pattern.

“There are occasions where people leave the scene of a collision, they are committed to committing an offence by doing that,” Mr Stevens said.

“But there’s nothing here that would cause any specific alarm.”
