A man from Adelaide’s northern suburbs was caught collating child exploitation material including videos of underage girls being sexually abused, a court has heard.
Luke Michael Pickering, 29, of Ingle Farm, faced the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He has yet to plead to one count of possession or control of child abuse material obtained or accessed using a carriage service.
Pickering has been further charged with three counts of using a carriage service to access child abuse material.
Federal prosecutors have also laid four further counts, of using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material.
The charges arise from Pickering’s arrest, by the South Australia Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET), on June 11.
It is alleged that, while searching his home, officers found child abuse material on electronic devices.
It is further alleged JACET began investigating Pickering in May after a report from the Australian Federal Police-led Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation.
That report alleged an Adelaide man was suspected of obtaining videos of girls being sexually abused.
On Wednesday, Pickering was remanded on continuing bail to face court again in October.
