Man arrested for shining laser at police helicopter over Woodcroft
A man was allegedly caught with a laser still in his hand after the police chopper he shone it at led officers straight to him.

A man has been charged with prejudicing the safe operation of an aircraft for allegedly shining a laser at the police helicopter.
Officers on-board the helicopter were flying above Woodcroft just before 10.30pm on Friday, when a laser was pointed at them on several occasions.
They were able to determine the origin of the light and directed patrols on the ground to a house, where a man was found allegedly with a laser in his hands.
The Woodcroft man, 48, was arrested and charged with prejudicing the safe operation of an aircraft, acts likely to cause harm and possessing a prohibited weapon.
He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court next month.
The Aircraft Offences Act 1971 states it is an offence to do an act or thing capable of prejudicing the safe operation of an aircraft. Penalties can include a maximum 14 years’ jail.
