A city bubble tea shop at the centre of wage theft claims and an alleged worker assault was broken into overnight.
Just after midnight on Sunday, the front roller security door of the Gouger Street shop Fun Tea was forced open.
Police searched the interior of the building, but no one was found, and it’s unclear whether anything was stolen during the incident.
Shocking CCTV emerged of a woman being punched and kicked, after allegedly inquiring about unpaid wages on Friday, January 29.
Video shows the woman being punched by a man, before she was kicked to the ground.
The 20-year-old Rose Park woman was treated for her injuries by paramedics.
A 39-year-old Glen Osmond man was arrested on Tuesday, February 2 and charged with assault. He will appear in court in May.
The video sparked rallies this week, with crowds gathering at Gouger St on Thursday, and Chinatown on Saturday, protesting widespread wage theft in Adelaide.
Fair Go Australia founder, Say Kapsis, who began the organisation to assist vulnerable workers, said international students and migrants are often targeted by employers as they do not know their rights in Australia.
Police are investigating, and ask anyone with information on the break-in to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
