A grieving sister wants charges laid against the people who moved her brother’s body after a crash at Enfield last week, claiming he would still be alive if he had received medical treatment.
John Hadley, 45, sustained critical injuries in a motorbike crash on Whittington Street at Enfield, on Wednesday March 10.
Witnesses saw a man and woman stop their car after Mr Hadley’s crash, at about 2am, before the woman allegedly got out of the car and dragged his injured body into a vehicle and drove off.
The father-of-four’s body was found about 40 minutes later – 8km away in Mark Court at Ingle Farm. He died at the scene.
Mr Hadley’s sister, Rosemary Hadley, is desperately searching for answers about the incident and wants the people who moved her brother’s body to be charged.
“Our family wants to know why they moved the body,” Mrs Hadley, 44, said.
“He could’ve still been alive today – we want to know who moved the body, and why haven’t they been charged?”
The Ingle Farm woman said she and her 10 children are grieving their uncle, who was a caring man who loved motorcycles.
“He was really caring, if you need help, he’s there. He’s always there for family an his friends.”
Mrs Hadley said she is struggling with the thought of people dragging her injured brother’s body without waiting for an ambulance.
“I don’t sleep at night, I can’t even eat. It upsets us, it’s disgusting what they did. You do not move someone’s (injured) body.
“They didn't take him to the hospital, if they were going to take him, why didn't they take him there instead of taking him somewhere else?”
She said her family has contacted police multiple times but are yet to get their desired answers.
“What I want to see is these people get locked up for what they did to my brother.
“I’m not going to stop until we get the answers.”
Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash and death of the man, and investigators spoke to those involved with moving Mr Hadley’s body last week.
No charges have been laid.
SA Police have been contacted for comment.
