Woman indecently assaulted near Hindley St, helped by passing motorist
A passing motorist has come to the aid of a woman who was indecently assaulted near Hindley St – and now police are on the hunt for the perpetrator.

A woman has been indecently assaulted by a man who grabbed her from behind as she was walking near the CBD’s party strip early on Saturday.
Investigating police allege the woman was attacked without warning near Hindley St between midnight and 1am on October 1.
Police said the woman was approached from behind by a man described as being about 180cm tall. He was wearing dark-coloured clothing.
A passing motorist who saw the woman in trouble stopped to assist her. The suspect fled the area on foot.
Police again warned that Hindley St was a hotspot for violence, especially on weekends.
