Woman critical, four seriously injured in horror crash at Gawler Belt
A woman is critical and four others are seriously injured after a falling toolbox triggered a horrific four-car collision north of Adelaide.

A woman is in a critical condition and four others have serious injuries after a horror crash at Gawler Belt on Saturday afternoon.
Ten people – including kids – were taken to hospital as a result of the massive four-car collision.
Police said a white Nissan had stopped on the side of the highway after a toolbox fell from the tray and two cars travelling behind stopped to assist.
The four occupants were out of the car standing near the road when a fourth vehicle – a Holden Trailblazer – crashed into the cars and the pedestrians just after 4.15pm.
A 35-year-old woman from Freeling was taken to hospital, where she is in a critical condition.
A 45-year-old man and a 46-year-old man both – from Willaston – and a 42-year-old woman from Freeling were taken to hospital where they are being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Holden, a 29-year-old woman from Kapunda, was taken to hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and a sample of her blood was taken.
Five children were taken to hospital from the scene of the crash – four to Lyell McEwin Hospital and one to the Women and Children’s Hospital.
The Advertiser understands the children in a vehicle during the incident were not seriously injured.
A total of 10 people were taken to hospital from the scene described as “chaotic”.
The Thiele Highway was closed to all traffic between Horrocks Highway and Argent Road but has since reopened.
Major Crash Investigators attended the scene to assist with the investigation and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
