A woman has been taken to the ground and arrested after her friend was allegedly run over by a man at a service station in Adelaide’s western suburbs on Tuesday morning.
At about 7am, South Australia Police and emergency services were called to Hanson Road at Kilkenny, after reports that a man had been found with injuries in the forecourt of the business.
Police examined CCTV at the business and will allege that the man was run over by a black Mitsubishi Triton utility vehicle.
The driver of the Triton, a 54-year-old man was reported for aggravated driving without due care, and was summoned to appear in court at a later date.
The victim, a 31-year-old Kilburn man was taken to hospital for treatment, with his injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The aftermath of the incident was filmed by a member of the public, showing the victim’s friend, a 27-year-old Loxton woman, arguing with police officers before being taken to the ground and arrested.
She was arrested for disorderly behaviour and was given bail, to appear in court at a later date.
The driver’s car was seized for examination and police are calling on witnesses who saw the incident to call Crime Stoppers.
