Woman, 20 has been charged with assaulting a police officer on Adelaide’s Hindley St

A woman has been accused of a disgusting act towards a police officer during the early hours of the morning on Hindley St.

A young woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police alleged just after 2.50am on Tuesday, officers were speaking with a woman in Hindley St.

During the interaction the suspect spat at police, according to police.

A 20-year-old woman from Modbury North was arrested and charged with offensive language and assaulting police after the event.

She is set to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
