A western suburbs man has been charged with nearly 80 counts of abusing public office after an investigation by the state’s anti-corruption cops.
On Wednesday, detectives from SAPOL’s Anti-corruption Section arrested a 37-year-old man from Welland and charged him with 78 counts of abuse of public office.
Police said the arrest came after a “lengthy investigation”.
The man was released on bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
SAPOL said the man was not a police officer.
