A wanted man on the run from police for nearly ten days – and who once told a court he would rather be in jail than at his mother’s house – has been arrested.
Police appealed to the public on November 24 to find Ryan Neshoda, 30, of Mt Gambier, who was wanted for breaching bail and other recent offending.
The community was warned not to approach Neshoda for safety purposes.
He was arrested on Thursday at a Mt Gambier home without further incident.
He was charged with breaching bail among other offences and refused bail, to appear in the Mt Gambier Magistrates Court on Friday.
Neshoda faced court in June for drug trafficking offences, and did not apply for bail, despite his mother offering her home to him.
It is understood he later applied for bail and was granted it.
He was charged with selling a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, stealing a car and road offences.
The prosecutor alleged 239 grams of GHB, $2670 cash, electric scales and a mobile phone with messages indicated “active selling” were discovered, in June.
