A second man has been arrested and the firearm – believed to be used in a shooting at Royal Park – has been located just hours after another accused appeared in court on Wednesday.

Police attended a property in St Kilda and located a 51-year-old Parafield Gardens man who was arrested and charged with attempted murder over Tuesday night’s shooting.

Officers also seized a firearm believed to be the one that was used in the shooting.

The man was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

It comes after police revealed they were still trying to track down two people they believe may have been involved in the alleged attempted murder, during a court hearing on Wednesday.

Just before 7.30pm on Tuesday, SA Police and emergency services were called to reports of a shooting at an address on Brandwood St, Royal Park.

The victim, a 47-year-old man from Royal Park, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, Western District officers, along with STAR Group officers, attended an address in Croydon Park and arrested a 44-year-old man.

On Wednesday afternoon, Mr Doyle-Tarrant appeared via video link in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder over the matter.

Prosecution counsel asked magistrate Jayanthi Pandya to allow extra time before Mr Doyle-Tarrant’s next hearing for forensic investigations to continue, and told the court police were investigating other suspects in the matter.

“It’s just the ongoing nature of the investigation, and there are two suspects yet to be located,” he said.

Mr Doyle-Tarrant has been charged with attempted murder, failing to answer questions under the Firearms Act and carrying an offensive weapon.

It’s believed the alleged victim, who is in a serious but stable condition in hospital, is known to the accused.

Police do not believe the alleged incident is random.

Mr Doyle-Tarrant did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance in April.

Investigations into the matter continue, and police are appealing to anyone who may have information or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
