Two men have been taken to hospital after a stabbing at Windsor Gardens on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to a home Cookes Road just before 1.30am following reports of an incident.

On arrival, they found a 23-year-old Andrews Farm man who had been stabbed in the back.

He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment, and remains in a stable condition.

Another man, a 67-year-old from Windsor Gardens, was also at the house and had a laceration on his hand.

He was taken to the same hospital, where he is under police guard and expected to be charged over the incident later today.

Police say the men are known to each other.

A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, told The Advertiser the older man knocked on his door about 1.30am with a head wound.

“He was calm and seemed quite vague,” the man said.

He said he called police and waited for them to arrive, but he had not previously met either of the two men involved.

Officers were still scouring the scene hours after the stabbing on Tuesday morning.

Handwritten signs posted near the door of the home said “no visitors, no excuse or any reason” and “leave me a message, if you don’t have my phone number well I don’t know you and I don’t want to know yours”.
