Three young men have been arrested after a boy was stabbed in a large altercation between up to 50 people at a Modbury McDonald’s last week.
The brawl broke out at the fast food outlet on North East Rd about 11pm Friday June 25.
A boy, 15, was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition with a stab wound to the abdomen.
His injuries have been downgraded to non life-threatening and he underwent surgery in recent days.
Following investigations police attended several addresses and arrested a Davoren Park boy, 16, a Smithfield Plains man, 21, and a Klemzig man, 22.
They have been charged with affray, while the 22-year-old was further charged with assault causing serious harm.
The boy and 21-year-old were bailed to attend court at a later date, and the 22-year-old was remanded in custody, to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court next week.
Witnesses described seeing a large group of youths gathering at Civic Park opposite Westfield shopping centre before moving to the carpark near McDonald's.
The day after the brawl officers found a new baseball bat and various other items in a search.
The fight prompted calls from the Tea Tree Gully deputy Mayor to increase security near Tea Tree Plaza.
Following the incident, a 35-year-old man was stabbed in a street at Davoren Park.
The altercation broke out on Chesterman St about 7pm Wednesday between the victim and a group of men who were in a Range Rover.
The victim was taken to hospital for the stab wound in the torso and head injuries.
Investigations are ongoing, and police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
