Four teenagers will face court on Thursday after allegedly driving a stolen car from Victoria into South Australia.

South Australian police received information from Victoria Police that a stolen green Volkswagen was travelling towards the SA border from Kaniv just after 11.20am on Wednesday.

Police saw a Volkswagen just after 11.40am on the Dukes Highway at Pine Hill but the vehicle continued through Bordertown and patrols attempted to spike the vehicle at Tintinara.

However, the car continued driving, heading towards Ki Ki.

Polair was overhead and tracked the vehicle onto Goodall Rd where just after 1pm the vehicle stopped and the four occupants were arrested.

The vehicle – which police believe was stolen from Colac – was towed from the scene for forensic examination.

Two boys aged 15 and 16 and two girls aged 13 and 14, all from Victoria were charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.

They were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Thursday.
