A teenager from Adelaide has died after his car was involved in a crash with a prime mover in the state’s South East.
About 10pm Friday, emergency services were called to Princes Highway at Furner, 25 kilometres north of Millicent, after reports a Toyota Corolla sedan and truck had crashed.
The driver of the sedan, a 19-year-old man from Craigmore, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 49-year-old Victorian woman, was taken to the local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Traffic restriction on Princes Highway were still in place on Saturday morning, and drivers have been asked to take an alternate route.
Major Crash police officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The man’s death marks the 62nd life lost on the state’s roads this year, compared to 56 at the same time last year.
