A Mannum man will remain in custody after a woman was found injured in the driveway of a home on Sunday.

Stevan Mihajlowitsch, 51, was refused bail in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday after being charged with serious domestic violence offending.

Mr Mihajlowitsch was arrested on Monday morning and charged with aggravated causing harm with intent. He is yet to enter a plea.

A charge sheet sighted by the Advertiser alleges Mr Mihajlowitsch committed the offence knowing that the alleged victim was a person with whom he was in, or were formerly in a relationship with.

Just before 10.15pm on Sunday, police and emergency services were called to Purnong Rd after reports a woman had been assaulted.

When police arrived, they found a 41-year-old woman in the driveway.

Police say she was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police warned they will not tolerate domestic violence and will take every action available to protect victims.

On Tuesday, Mr Mihajlowitsch was refused bail and will appear again in court in September.
