A southern suburbs man has been arrested for child sex offences.

On Thursday, Public Protection Branch detectives charged a 34-year-old from Adelaide’s south with one count of making a child amenable to sexual activity.

The man was charged after investigations by the elite Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET).

He was also charged over an outstanding warrant, and was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court in January.

Public Protection Branch Detective Chief Inspector Naomi Oberscheidt said police continue to urge members of the community looking for support in relation to child abuse or exploitation to visit the ACCCE website at www.accce.gov.au to find support services.

“Members of the public who have information about people involved in child abuse and exploitation are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” she said.

“If you know abuse is happening right now, or a child is at risk, call police immediately on triple-zero.”
