SA Police speaking with the Department of Human Services and Drug and Alcohol Services, after a dozen arrested over incidents
Multiple police officers have been injured following a spate of incidents across the Adelaide CBD from Sunday night to Monday morning.

Six police officers have been injured and a dozen people, aged 14 to 49, were arrested, following a spate of incidents across Adelaide’s CBD on Sunday night.
Police allege the incidents occurred on North Terrace, Kintore Ave, Station Rd, Grenfell St, Festival Plaza and King William Rd, between 10.30pm to 3.30am.
During the incidents, five people of the 12 people involved were sprayed with OC spray, two police officers were treated in hospital for injuries, while four other officers sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.
The arrests were related to two counts of assault emergency worker, fight in public place, hinder police, disorderly behaviour, possess knife in public place, five counts of aggravated affray and breach of bail.
Concerningly, young children accompanied some of the people in the group during some of the incidents that involved violent and unruly behaviour.
SA Police said they used surge capacity resources to ensure the safety of the public from the large groups of intoxicated people causing disturbances, however, they refused to leave the Declared Public Precinct on multiple occasions.
The high number of arrests sparked major concerns with SA Police, which led to discussions with the Department of Human Services and Drug and Alcohol Services.
During the meeting, the groups also discussed the available programs that assist in relocating people from the CBD.
