SATURDAY, AUGUST 7
STABBING AT BLAIR ATHOL
A man is in a serious but stable condition following a stabbing at Blair Athol on Friday night.
The man was stabbed at a reserve on Leslie Ave about 10.15pm.
The victim, a 29-year-old Parafield Gardens man, was located in his car on nearby Alice Ave with a number of stab wounds to the abdomen.
Patrols located the suspect, a 26-year-old Blair Athol man, and arrested him at the reserve.
The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Both men are believed to be known to each other.
The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
The suspect is expected to be charged with aggravated assault cause harm and refused bail.
SERVO ROBBERY AT BELAIR
Two suspects are on the run after a robbery at a Belair service station.
Police responded to calls from a Main Rd service station following reports that a female staff member was assaulted and cigarettes and cash were stolen.
The victim was treated at the scene and was not seriously injured.
The suspects, a man and a woman, were last seen walking along Gloucester Ave.
The man is described as caucasian, over 180cm tall, aged in his 30s or 40s, wearing a black face covering, dark pants, dark sneakers, a long dark coloured jacket and a black cap with a ‘B’ on it.
The woman is described as about 165cm tall, aged in her 30s or 40s wearing loose grey pants, white shoes, a green or khaki jacket, gloves, a black beanie with a white fluffy pompom and a blue surgical mask.
Police and Police Dog Jax searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

MOTORBIKE CRASHES INTO ROCKSLIDE
A motorcyclist escaped serious injury after crashing into a rockslide at Inglewood on Friday night.
The man was travelling on North East Rd, between Tilmouth and Fidlers Hill Rds, before he crashed into the rocks.
Paramedics took the 28-year-old from Payneham to hospital with minor injuries.
North East Rd was blocked for several hours while crews cleared the road which has now reopened to all traffic.
DRINK-DRIVER FOUR TIMES THE LIMIT
A drink-driver allegedly blew more than four times the limit on Saturday morning.
Police stopped the man, driving a white Daihatsu, just after 2am on Portrush Rd at Payneham South.
The 21-year-old Norwood man allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.227.
The man was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for a year.
His car was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

BOY FOLLOWED AT TORRENS PARK
Police have released vision of a suspect after a young boy was followed at Torrens Park.
The boy was waiting at the end of his driveway for a friend, when he was approached and followed by an unknown man, about 5.40pm Wednesday.
The man was challenged by the boy’s parent, and he left the area. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as caucasian, wearing dark track pants, a hooded top, white baseball cap, white and black sneakers with red soles, carrying a backpack.
Police released CCTV vision of the man, and anyone with information that may assist with the investigation should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
BOLT CUTTERS THROWN AT POLICE CAR IN PURSUIT
A pair of suspects driving a ute that was towing an excavator allegedly threw bolt cutters at a police car during a pursuit on Friday.
At about 4.50am, a patrol attempted to pull over the speeding ute and excavator on Sutherland Rd, Ferryden Park, but the driver refused to stop.
The vehicle travelled north on to Main North Rd before it was abandoned on the side of the road at Pooraka, near a bus stop near Quigley St.
The driver was seen to run to a nearby house, where police followed and found him.
A 41-year-old Paralowie man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving to escape police, illegal use and driving unlicensed.
He will face court in Port Adelaide on Monday.
It‘s believed the passenger ran from the ute near the intersection of Montague and Main North roads wearing a balaclava, black puffer jacket, black pants and shoes.
Police searched the area with the assistance of police dog Marley, but he was not located.

MAN CHARGED WITH HOONING IN SOUTH EAST
A man has been reported for driving without due care at Millicent.
Police received several calls reporting that a silver Mitsubishi Lancer was repeatedly speeding down George St, Millicent allegedly, early each day from Monday, July 26 to Thursday, August 5.
Police viewed CCTV footage from several locations in the area, which resulted in a vehicle of interest being identified.
On Thursday, a 20-year-old man from Beachport was questioned in relation to these matters. He was reported for one count of driving without due care, and investigations are continuing in relation to other driving offences.
He also received an expiation notice for breaching the Emergency Management Act (QR code) when entering a service station on Monday, August 2.
UNIT FIRE AT GLENSIDE
A man was taken to hospital after a unit was heavily damaged by fire at Glenside.
Fire crews responded to calls that one unit was burning on Portrush Rd at 10pm last night.
Several people had to be rescued from the building, and a 50-year-old man was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire caused significant damage to one unit and another three were affected by smoke damage.
The occupants of the damaged units were assisted to find a new place to stay.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Fire Cause Investigators and detectives will examine the scene.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 5
POLICE HUNT SUSPECT AFTER INCIDENT AT MT GAMBIER
Police are hunting a man involved in a violent altercation at Mt Gambier, after a suspect smashed a victim’s car with a piece of wood.
The victim was parking their car on Commercial St East, when the incident erupted involving the suspect, who was riding a pushbike, about 12.40pm Thursday.
The cyclist kicked the victim’s car, and assaulted the man, 65.
He them smashed the victim’s car window with a lump of wood.
Police have released a picture of the suspect in the hope of identifying him.
He left the area with a Labrador dog.
The victim was not seriously injured.

THREE INJURED AFTER CAR SMASHES INTO DOCTOR’S CLINIC
Three people have been injured after a car crashed into a medical practice at Hewett, near Gawler.
It is understood the car hit the accelerator instead of the brake, crashing into the front window of the Gawler Medical Clinic on Main North Rd, about 3.30pm Thursday.
A woman suffered leg injuries, while a doctor and another patient suffered minor injuries.
They were taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment.
The driver involved was not injured.
POLICE CAR RAMMED AT SEAFORD
A police car was rammed by suspected thieves at a car wash on Thursday morning.
NEW RESCUE BOAT JOINS SAPOL
A new state of the art vessel will improve the capability for South Australia Police during water search and rescue missions.
The new 8.6 metre-long boat will replace an older vessel, and features a navigation system, and downward looking infra-red camera for improved search capability.
It can transport eight crew members.
Built at a Lonsdale marine business Nautic Star, the boat will be deployed statewide for search and rescue, marine compliance and general patrolling.
UNLICENSED DRINK DRIVER NABBED
Police caught an unlicensed drink driver allegedly at more than three times the legal limit at Yalata on Wednesday night.
Police stopped a Holden sedan driving around the Yatala community about 8.45pm on Wednesday for a mobile driver test.
The driver, a 47-year-old local woman, allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.167 – more than three times the legal limit.
She was reported for drink driving, driving while unlicensed and issued with a further 12-month instant loss of licence.
She will appear in court at a later date.
CAR DESTROYED AT PORT PIRIE
A car was torched at Port Pirie on Thursday morning.
At about 2.30am, Port Pirie Police and the Metropolitan Fire Service were called to a vehicle fire on Three Chain Road near Simpson Road, Port Pirie, after receiving reports of a vehicle being fully engulfed in flames.
MFS crews extinguished the fire but the silver Honda hatchback was completely destroyed.
Police discovered the car had been stolen from an address on Balfour Street at Risdon Park.
CHEMIST BREAK-IN AT MILE END
Following a chemist break-in at Blair Athol on Wednesday, another pharmacy was the target of a smash and grab at Mile End.
An alarm was activated at the chemist on South Road at a bout 3am.
A window was smashed and medication had been stolen.
Police Dog Marley attended the scene but could not find a suspect.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4
MEN ARRESTED AFTER MILE END CAR BREAK-IN
Two men have been charged after a car break-in at Mile End.
The men were spotted on Falcon Ave allegedly breaking into a car before being disturbed at 9.45pm on Tuesday night.
After being seen, they allegedly ran to Lurline St.
A witness provided police with a detailed description, and they were located shortly after on Henley Beach Rd.
One of the men was allegedly found to be in possession of items stolen from the car along with a pair of pliers.
A 37-year-old man from Oaklands Park and a 41-year-old man from Adelaide were both charged with illegal interference of a motor vehicle and theft.
They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on September 28.
CHEMIST BREAK-IN AT BLAIR ATHOL
A suspect is on the run after a Blair Athol chemist was broken into.
Police responded to calls from Birks Chemist on Main North Rd at 12.15am on Wednesday morning, following reports of shattered glass.
A mallet was found on the ground near the window.
Police Dog Marley went to the scene but was unable to track down the suspect.

CEDUNA DRINK DRIVER BLOWS ALMOST THREE TIMES OVER
A 64 year old man lost his licence on the spot after being caught drink driving at Ceduna with a blood alcohol reading of nearly three times the legal limit.
Police stopped a station wagon on Kuhlmann Street, Ceduna about 4.30am on Wednesday morning for a mobile driver test, with the man returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.144
He was reported for drink driving and issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.
His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
MAN ATTACKED BY YOUTHS AT TRAIN STATION
Police are investigating an assault at Mile End on Monday and are asking for potential witnesses to come forward.
At about 5.15pm on Monday a man was allegedly assaulted by three boys near the Mile End Railway Station.
The boys fled the scene when police arrived to assist the victim.
The 49-year-old Mile End man was not seriously injured, but did require treatment.
Police are asking for witnesses to the incident to come forward, especially a woman who was at the scene but left before her details could be obtained by patrols.
On Tuesday police arrested an 11-year-old Park Holme boy and charged him with assault causing harm and throwing a missile.
He is expected to be refused bail and appear in the Adelaide Youth Court tomorrow.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL INTERCEPTED AT MARLA
A man has been arrested during a traffic stop after police suspected he was attempting to smuggle cannabis and alcohol into the APY Lands.
Police stopped a car on the Stuart Highway at Marla about 11.50pm Saturday, and found nearly 700g of cannabis and three cartons of alcohol.
It is believed the items were being transported for sale in the Aboriginal community in the APY Lands, which is a dry zone.
A man, 36, from the Far North, was charged with trafficking a controlled substance, and transportation of alcohol into the APY Lands. He was also charged with breaching bail, after police discovered he had left SA, and travelled to the NT.
The arrest is one of many interceptions police in the Far North have made in recent months.
He will face court in November.
TWO ARRESTED OVER STOLEN PROPERTY
Thousands of dollars worth of items suspected of being stolen were uncovered during a raid in the CBD.
Officers attended the home on South Terrace, Adelaide on Monday afternoon and found the stolen property including bikes, electric bikes, scooters, musical equipment, cosmetics, and credit cards. They also found four grams of meth and 100ml of fantasy.
The items were seized and are being returned to their rightful owners.
A man, 41, and a woman, 61, both from Adelaide, were arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, theft, unlawful possession, and identity theft offences.
Both were expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

IMAGES OF MASKED WALKERVILLE ROBBERY SUSPECT RELEASED
Police are investigating a robbery at a Walkerville service station over the weekend by a mask-wearing bandit.
Just before midnight on Sunday 1 August, police were called to a service station on North East Road after a holdup alarm was activated by a staff member.
A man wearing a face mask entered the service station armed with a knife and demanded cash from the console operator.
He stole money and cigarettes before leaving southeast on Burlington Road on a bicycle.
The suspect is described as being of caucasian appearance, 173cm tall with an average build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black baseball cap, light grey tracksuit pants, black sneakers and a light-grey face mask.
Police have released security images of the suspect.

MONDAY, AUGUST 2
WOMAN ARRESTED OVER WHEELCHAIR THEFT
A woman has been arrested over the theft of an electric wheelchair from Richmond last week.
Between 10pm Monday, July 26 and 7am Tuesday, July 27, an electric wheelchair was stolen from the rear yard of a home at Richmond.
The wheelchair had special features to assist the victim’s mobility.
Western District Detectives released CCTV of two suspects believed to be involved in the theft on Friday 30 July seeking help from the public to identify them.
About 12.30am on Saturday, July 31, a member of the public phoned police to advise there was a wheelchair abandoned in the front of her Cowandilla home.
It appeared the electric wheelchair was not damaged, however it had a flat battery and was returned to the owner.
On Monday a 25-year-old woman from Camden Park handed herself into the Hindley Street Police Station and was charged with theft, being unlawfully on premises and property damage.
She was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on October 1.
Police investigations are continuing.
MAN ARRESTED FOR BREACH OF COVID-19 DIRECTIONS IN CEDUNA
A man has been arrested after his car broke down and police discovered he had allegedly disobeyed Covid-19 border restrictions
It’s alleged that at about 11.45am on Friday, July 30, police located a man travelling through Cook on the far west coast of SA after they received information that he may have been breaching current border restrictions under the Emergency Management Act.
Police spoke with the man and discovered he had entered South Australia from Victoria over the last several days, avoiding the border checkpoint.
The man had also previously been in New South Wales within the last 14 days – which he had declared on his Cross Border Application which had been declined.
Police believe he was attempting to travel through to Western Australia before his vehicle broke down.
The 25-year-old man from Robertstown NSW was arrested for breaching the Emergency Management Act.
He was refused bail and appeared in the Ceduna Magistrates Court on Monday.
SUSPICIOUS FIRE AT KENT TOWN
Police are investigating a suspicious unit fire at Kent Town this afternoon.
About 2.20pm on Monday emergency services were called to a block of units on Capper Street after reports of a fire on the first floor.
MFS extinguished a small fire in one of the units that caused a substantial amount of damage and smoke
There was no one at home at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
Police believe the fire was deliberately lit and are investigating, Crime Scene officers are at the scene.
MYPONGA CANNABIS CROP SEIZED
A public tip-off has led to police busting a hydroponic cannabis grow house at Myponga.
On Thursday police attended a Myponga home to search for drugs as a result of information supplied via Crime Stoppers.
Officers found an “elaborate” set-up with 12 large mature plants in two rooms of the empty house.
The front of the house was set-up to appear as though the residence was occupied.
On Sunday police attended a Christies Downs home and arrested a 57-year-old woman from Myponga and charged her with cultivating cannabis, possessing prescribed equipment and diverting electricity.
She was bailed to appear in the Victor Harbor Magistrates Court in October.
WOMAN ARRESTED OVER WHYALLA HOUSE FIRE
A woman has been arrested after allegedly setting a house on fire in Whyalla Stuart.
About 9.24pm on Sunday, police and fire crews were called to a house in Quirke Ave after reports of a large building fire.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze, which also caused damage to an adjoining property. No one in either house was injured.
Further inquiries led police to a nearby house where a 35-year-old woman was arrested.
The Whyalla Stuart woman was charged with arson, and was refused bail to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court today.
SERIOUS CRASH AT SHEA OAK LOG
A teenager was seriously injured after a crash at Shea Oak Log.
The driver, of Cockatoo Valley, 17, crashed into a tree near the intersection of the Sturt Highway and Nurse Rd about 7.20pm Sunday.
She was flown the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
The teenager was the sole occupant of the car.
The car was towed from the scene.

SERVO ROBBERY AT WALKERVILLE
A suspect is on the run after threatening a service station worker with a knife in a robbery at Walkerville.
A knife-wielding man wearing a face mask entered the North East Rd business about midnight Sunday, demanding cigarettes from the worker.
He took off with cash and cigarettes and was last seen on foot heading east on Burlington Rd.
The suspect is described as caucasian, 173cm tall, and an average build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black baseball cap, light grey tracksuit pants, black sneakers and a light grey face mask.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 1
THREE ARRESTED AFTER FIGHT
A man has been taken to hospital and three other people have been arrested after a fight in the northern suburbs overnight.
Just before 1am Sunday morning, police were called to a house on Commodore Parade at Andrews Farm following reports of a fight at a party.
One man at the property had suffered head injuries and was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Three people were charged with affray and bailed to appear in court at a later date. They are a 28-year-old man from Andrews Farm and two woman – aged 28 and 25 – who are both from Parafield Gardens.
AIR SENSORS STOLEN
Distinctive air sensor units were stolen from a construction site north of Adelaide last month.
Sometime between Tuesday, July 20, and Wednesday, July 28, two air sensor units were stolen from a site on the corner of Causeway Road and Semaphore Road at Exeter.
The “quite distinctive” sensors measure air contaminants and are used in the building industry.
