SATURDAY, AUGUST 14
MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE
A northern suburbs man has been charged over an alleged sexual assault.
Police arrested the 21-year-old on Friday and charged him with rape.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court in September.
PURSUIT ENDS IN ARREST
An unlicensed driver has been arrested after leading police on a northern suburbs pursuit.
Police tried to stop a Fod Territory on Bolivar Rd about 9pm after noticing the number plates were stolen.
The driver was pursued through Burton after he failed to stop.
Police used tyre spikes to stop the car on Bolivar Rd, Paralowie.
A Goolwa man, 27, was charged with dangerous driving to escape police pursuit, driving contrary to defect, driving without due care, driving unregistered and uninsured.
He was also charged with breaching bail.
The man was refused bail, to appear in court on Monday.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 13
EXTINCTION REBELLION PROTESTERS ARRESTED
Two protesters were arrested on trespass charged after they performed a “walk-in” at a bank.
About 20 protesters entered the NAB branch on Gouger St after 3pm on Friday.
Police said two protesters entered an office within the building.
While the protesters demonstrated peacefully, the two who entered the office, a 64-year-old man from Flagstaff Hill and a 56-year-old woman from Goodwood, were arrested and charged with trespass.
Both will be bailed to attend at the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
MURRAY BRIDGE DRIVER SIX TIMES OVER
An alleged drink-driver blew more than six times the legal limit of alcohol at Murray Bridge, police say.
The man was stopped by police after they caught him erratically driving on Mannum Rd at 6.35am.
The driver, a 54-year-old man from Mannum, recorded a positive result of 0.312, more than six times the legal limit.
He was arrested and charged with drive under the influence and drive with excess blood alcohol. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
In addition to his charges, the man’s car was impounded for 28 days, and he was issued with a 12-month immediate loss of license.
CAR CRASHES INTO EDWARDSTOWN GYM
The driver of a car that slammed into a gym wall miraculously escaped injury.
A CCTV video of the incident shows a handful of people jumping for cover as the car slams into the brick wall.
The driver, a woman in her 70s, was rushed to Flinders Medical Centre.
INVESTIGATION INTO PORT LINCOLN DEATH
The death of a man at Port Lincoln who was found semiconscious and died in hospital will be investigated by police.
The 29-year-old man was found lying in a semiconscious state at the southern end of Ravendale Oval at Stamford Tce at 7.45am on Monday morning.
He was taken to Port Lincoln Hospital where he died later that morning. Port Lincoln Police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
Police investigating the case ask anyone who saw the man at or near the Ravendale Sporting Complex prior to 7.45am that morning to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
PURSUIT ENDS IN THE RIVER TORRENS
A man who led police on a pursuit through Adelaide ran in to the River Torrens in a bid to flee police.
Police saw a Honda Civic suspected of being involved in an earlier convenience store robbery at Davoren Park, travelling north on Main North Rd at Elizabeth Park about 7.45pm Thursday.
Patrols directed the driver to stop, but he allegedly continued driving and a pursuit ensued through Uley Rd and Main North Rd.
The Police Helicopter was deployed, and the Honda was tracked through North Adelaide, where it collided with a parked car in the carpark of a hotel on Melbourne St, and with a fence on Edith St.
The car was successfully spiked on Seaview Rd, Henley Beach, and the Honda later crashed into a large rock on River Rd at Torrensville.
The driver abandoned the car before running into the River Torrens.
He surrendered himself to police, and was arrested without incident.
The car had been stolen from Woodville earlier this week.
A man, 22, from Salisbury East, was charged with driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit, failing to stop and give particulars after a crash, driving unlicensed, and breaching his bail conditions.
He was refused police bail, and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday.
MAN ASSAULTED AT QEH
A prisoner has been charged with further offences after allegedly assaulting a security guard at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A man, 50, currently in custody at the Adelaide Remand Centre, was at the hospital for a minor medical procedure on Tuesday, when the assault occurred.
Police say the man also damaged hospital property.
The guard suffered minor injuries.
The alleged offender was returned to custody and reported for aggravated assault and property damage.
He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in September.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 12
SERIOUS CRASH AT ATHOL PARK
An elderly man has sustained non-life threatening injuries when the car he was driving collided with a parked truck.
Just after 1.30pm, police were called following reports a car and truck had collided at Glenroy Street at Athol Park.
Ambulance services attended the scene before admitting the man to hospital, the truck driver didn’t sustain any injuries.
The road was closed in both directions for some time.
At first police suspected there was a danger the collision could be fatal for the driver.
However by 4:30pm police revealed the man was in a stable condition and had sustained non-life threatening injuries.
ARMED ROBBERY AT CONVENIENCE STORE
A worker was hit with a metal wheel brace during a convenience store robbery at Davoren Park.
Just before noon on Thursday, police were called to the store on Peachey Road after report a man armed with the brace had entered and demanded money.
He struck the worker with the brace, but she was not seriously injured.
The man stole cash and was seen getting into a white Honda Civic hatchback with a black rear spoiler.
The car, which was being driven by another person, was last seen driving on Whitington Road towards Coventry road.
The suspect is about 178cm tall and was wearing a grey jumper, dark-coloured tracksuit pants and a balaclava.

ARREST AFTER CHECKPOINT PURSUIT
A woman has been arrested after she allegedly led police on a pursuit near a NSW border checkpoint in the early hours of Thursday.
About 1.50am, a silver Ford Laser sedan approached the Yamba border checkpoint on Sturt Highway.
Officers attempted to stop the driver but she continued west along the highway.
They pursued the car as it turned onto Old Sturt Highway towards Berri, before the woman eventually stopped on Old Sturt Highway at Monash.
The woman, a 33-year-old of no fixed address, was arrested without incident and charged with breaching the Emergency Management Act, engaging in a police pursuit, breaching bail conditions, driving unlicensed and driving an unregistered car.
She was refused police bail and will appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on Thursday. Her car was towed from the scene.
MAN CAUGHT DOING BURNOUTS IN CBD
A man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught doing burnouts while drink driving in the CBD on Thursday morning.
Just before 2.30am, police were called to Rundle Street at Kent Town following reports of a silver Holden ute driving erratically and running red lights.
Officers found the ute and stopped it a short time later.
The driver, a 22-year-old Marryatville man, underwent a breath test and allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.134.
The man was arrested and charged with driving in a dangerous manner, driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
His car was impounded for 28 days and he will appear in court at a later date.
SUSPECTED VAN THIEVES CAUGHT ON CCTV
A man and woman suspected of stealing a van at Surrey Downs have been caught on CCTV.
Police have released CCTV images of the suspects involved in the robbery on Sunday.
About 2.55pm on 8 August, a white Mitsubishi Van with South Australian registration of XTF997 was stolen from the forecourt of the On The Run service station on Golden Grove Road while the owner was inside the store.
Police are seeking information regarding the identity of the man and woman in the photo and the whereabouts of the stolen van.

MAN ARRESTED FOR INDECENT FILMING
An eastern suburbs man has been arrested for allegedly indecently filming people at Toorak Gardens.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between August 1 and 10.
Police arrested a Beaumont man, 45, on Tuesday night and charged him with two counts of indecent filming.
He appeared in court on Wednesday.
YOUTHS ARRESTED AT BURNSIDE
Three teenage boys have been arrested after they were caught allegedly jumping back fences at Burnside.
The alarm was raised about 11.15pm on Greenhill Rd, where police saw three suspects running east. They cordoned off the area and searched surrounding streets with police dog Stoic.
Police located one teenager on View Terrace, another in the rear yard of a property on Gartrell St, and a third on Waterfall Terrace.
A stolen white Subaru outback was also located nearby, which was seized.
A Christie Downs boy, 15, a Ferryden Park boy, 16, and a Huntfield Heights boy, 17, were arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises, serious criminal trespass, illegal use, and theft.
They were refused bail to appear in the Youth Court on Wednesday.
Police thanked the public for their assistance in providing information in relation to this incident.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 10
MAN UNLAWFULLY ON SCHOOL GROUNDS
A man has been arrested after he was caught on school grounds at Murray Bridge.
About 4.30am Tuesday morning, police responded to an alarm activation at a construction site at a school on Swanport Road.
A 32-year-old Murray Bridge man who was found on school grounds was arrested.
He was charged with being unlawfully on premises and bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court later this month.
DRINK DRIVER WITH KID IN CAR
An alleged drink driver caught using her phone while behind the wheel with a child in her car has lost her licence.
Police stopped a woman driving a Mazda 3 on the Copper Coast Highway at Kadina on Monday afternoon after they observed allegedly her using a mobile phone.
They breath tested her, and she provided a positive result of 0.162, more than three times over the legal blood alcohol limit of 0.05.
The driver had a seven-year-old child as her passenger.
The woman, 45, of Kadina, was reported for drink driving and using a mobile phone.
She was issued a 12-month loss of licence and will appear in court at a later date.
Her vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
WOODVILLE PURSUIT
A driver remains on the run after leading police on a pursuit through the northwestern suburbs.
A white Mitsubishi Pajero took off when the driver noticed police at Kilkenny, about 3.30am Tuesday. It was pursued at a low speed through the backstreets of Kilkenny before the pursuit was terminated.
The four-wheel-drive was located abandoned in The Grove at Woodville a short ime later.
Police cordoned off the area, and police dog Jax tracked the woman from the vehicle through rear yards, and found discarded property including clothing, but the woman was not located.
Investigations are continuing, anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
MONDAY, AUGUST 9
WANTED MAN NATHAN STEEL
Police are hunting a man wanted for recent violent offending in the state’s South East.
Nathan Steel, 38, of Joanna, near Naracoorte, is wanted for alleged domestic violence.
Steel is caucasian, 165cm, slim build, with brown crew cut hair and hazel eyes.
He may be driving a silver Nissan Navara ute, registration S581AKD.
Police are appealing to the public to help locate Steel, and ask anyone who locates him not to approach him, but call the police assistance line on 131 444.
CANNABIS BUST NEAR MURRAY BRIDGE
A man has been arrested after cannabis plants were discovered at a property on the outskirts of Murray Bridge.
About 10am last Wednesday, police found 12 cannabis seedlings and eight mature plants, along with a hydroponic set-up, at a home at Murrawong.
A 47-year-old Murrawong man was arrested and charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis, possessing cannabis and possessing prescribed equipment.
He has been bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court in September.
CAR WINDOW SMASHED, PARKLANDS
A man has been arrested for allegedly smashing a car window with a bike lock in the Parklands.
A victim was playing basketball with friends off Park Terrace North Adelaide about 10pm Sunday, when an unknown man allegedly damaged the Ford Territory parked nearby.
Police arrested the suspect, a Port Adelaide man, 47, nearby, and charged him with property damage. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court next month.
The bike lock allegedly used in the incident was found in the man’s possession.
TWO CHARGED WITH ARSON
Two men have been arrested after allegedly setting fire to a house at Whyalla Playford.
Smoke was seen billowing from the window of a home on McBryde Terrace about 4pm Sunday.
Fire crews rushed to the scene and controlled the blaze that caused extensive damage to the home.
Witnesses told police two men were seen leaving the area about the same time the house was alight.
The suspects, a Whyalla Norrie man, 42, and a Whyalla Playford man, 56, were arrested nearby and charged with arson. They were refused bail to appear in local court on Monday.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 8
STABBING IN NORTHERN SUBURBS
A man has been arrested following a stabbing at a Para Hills West fitness studio.
Police were called to a private function of 30 people at the Beafield Rd studio shortly before 1.30am on Sunday.
Police allege the suspect had an altercation with a woman before a man intervened and the suspect stabbed him in the back.
He was treated at the scene and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a minor wound.
The suspect left before patrols arrived, but was located and arrested at a nearby service station.
The 23-year-old from Semaphore was charged with aggravated assault cause harm and is expected to be bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court in September.
Police will also be investigating breaches of the Emergency Management Act directions.
DRIVERLESS CAR ARREST AT OLD NOARLUNGA
Clever questioning by police led to a man being arrested on weapons charges at Old Noarlunga.
Police pulled over a black Toyota HiLux on Main South Rd about 1.30am on Sunday morning.
But when the patrol approached the car, the driver’s seat was empty.
Three passengers were sitting in the remaining seats.
Upon a search of the vehicle, police allegedly found a machete, metal pole and methamphetamine.
Following questioning, a 40-year-old Aldinga Beach man, who was suspected of being the driver, was arrested and charged.
The man was charged with breach of bail, driving unlicensed, carry offensive weapon, possess controlled drug and equipment.
He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on September 10.
SUSPICIOUS BOAT FIRE
A fire that destroyed a boat at Port Noarlunga has been deemed suspicious by police.
The fire engulfed a boat sitting on a trailer in a car park off River Rd at 9pm on Saturday.
It had been stolen from the driveway of a Christies Beach home earlier that morning.
Crime Scene Investigators will be examining the boat to determine the cause of the fire.
