Man killed in workplace incident at Bundaleer North near Jamestown in SA’s Mid North

SafeWork has launched a probe into how a man was killed in the state’s Mid North, as new details are revealed about the incident.

A Yorke Peninsula man has died after a workplace incident in the state’s Mid North, with SafeWork now investigating the incident.

Emergency services were called to a premises on Springs Rd, Bundaleer North, near Jamestown, after 12.30pm on Monday after reports that a worker had been fatally injured.

It is understood the man was cutting tree branches at the time of the accident.

MedStar crews were also called to the incident, but the 34-year-old man from Arthurton died at the scene.

A SafeWork SA spokesman said investigators would be making enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
