A man has died after crashing his car into a Stobie pole in the state’s Yorke Peninsula on Wednesday.

A man has died in a serious single-vehicle crash on the Yorke Peninsula on Wednesday night.
Police were called to the St Vincent Highway near Twelve Mile Rd about 7.50pm after reports a Holden sedan left the road and collided with a Stobie pole, bringing down power lines.
The driver, a 27-year-old man from Birkenhead, died at the scene.
He was the sole occupant of the car.
The St Vincent Highway was closed but has since reopened.
Major crash investigators attended the scene overnight to investigate the circumstances surrounding crash.
The man’s death is the 56th life lost on SA roads this year.
