Three members of a notorious motorcycle club have appeared in court following their attendance at a licensed premises in Adelaide’s north earlier this year.
Dylan John Garner, 35, Michael John Mazzone, 32, Paul Gunter Sewekow, 56, all appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrate Court in April after they were charged with one count each of criminal association.
Police allege all three men, who are members of the Rebels Motorcycle Club, were in company at an Elizabeth establishment on January 25 and were subsequently arrested.
The state legislation makes it an offence for Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) members from Declared Criminal Organisations to associate in groups of three or more in public.
The Rebels are one of the 10 Declared Criminal Organisations under the legislation.
In court, Mr Mazzone’s defence counsel, Nick Griffin asked for an adjournment to obtain instructions and disclosure.
The men will return to court later this year.
Detective Chief Inspector David Huddy, Officer in Charge, Crime Gangs Task Force, said, “Members and associates of Outlaw Motor Cycle Gangs are a constant threat to the community and police will take every opportunity to enforce the law.”
